Developments

 

Taking feedback on board, I am continually trialing different layouts for the contents page as I am looking for something striking.

I have now added links to the most recent issues of my magazine where they can be bought.

Audience

 

To increase the audience participation within my website I have added an outfit of the day section. This shares details and links to one of my models outfits for a day out in London.

As well as this, I will add an area where users can add their own outfits.

I have since changed the colour, so it will synergise with my magazine covers and contents.

Intertextuality

 Front cover - 'Mirror mirror' references the Disney princess Snow white.

Article- named 'bejeweled' referencing a Taylor Swift song my audience would be familiar with.

30-second clip- references to Lana del Rey and Taylor Swift through vinyl albums on display. As well as Marvel posters and the Twilight book series.

Porsche advert- 'Shut up and drive' references one of Rihanna's most popular songs.

Feedback on first draft

 

Class feedback i received.

The main common points of concern were:

- Need for more photos ( different models) 

- Bolder second cover ( purple doesn’t stand out)

- Change positioning of some the cover lines as hard to read 

- Work on the contents ( mixed opinions on whether to keep the strip containing the editors note)

Taking these comments on board my plan going forward:

- Most importantly take more photos.

- Change the font colour on my second page.

- Continue experimenting with the position of my cover lines.

- Refine my website making it more exciting and memorable. 

- Deciding between the layout preferences of my contents pages.

 I then did a photo shoot in London, where I took a variety of photos which I hope I can include in both the contents and website pages.
